Laharl
From Island RP
The one, the only, the forever trapped on this gd rock, it's your local demon Overlord, Laharl!
Laharl is, of course, one of the main characters of the Nippon Ichi classic that is eternally ported, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. He also makes various cameos in damn near every N1 game that has come out since Disgaea, making him, Etna, and Flonne the most easy to recognize characters ever to spawn from a Netherworld.
Laharl is played by Kev, who has played him since back when the Island was full of nothing but gay tennis players, the KH OT3, Bleach Shinigami, and Mello.

Of the Netherworld
We first meet our prince when he is being woke up from a two year 'nap' by his vassal, Etna. Immediately after which he discovers from her that, hey, his old man died! Naturally, you'd expect him to b'awwwwww a bit, right? WRONG. Laharl instead realizes that with his old man gone, he's the one who should be the new Overlord! Thus begins his super fun awesome adventure to claim his title as Overlord.
This adventure leads him to meet Flonne, an love obsessed angel trainee, CAPTAIN GORDON DEFEEEEEEENNNDER OF EARTH and his side kick and robot, and the ~*~DARK ADONIS~*~ who only deserved to be called Mis-Boss since he sucks. There is also a whole big plot involving a certain angel trying to become god, a human invasion of the Netherworld, and some other stuff...
But, well, this Laharl is pulled from before the end of the game, so. Oops.
Of the Island
Laharl has been on the island for well over two years now, and has been through all kinds of theme days, nuisances, and generally has grown to despise the place. If you were to ask him what he LIKED about the rock, he would need to literally sit down and think on it. And even after that, the only answer you might get is that he can recruit vassals from all kinds of places.
He currently lives in the north eastern part of the island, in a over sized hut with Flonne and Etna. Originally he chose that spot because he wanted the area to himself, but he quickly found he had neighbors in the form of the KH hut and it's dwellers, as well as the SOS Brigade hut. Suffice to say, he still isn't sure how that happened.
- Currently shares his hut with Etna, Flonne and the Prinny Squad.
- Has a big cave behind said hut jam packed with everything you could ever find on the island for a limited time. Such as quilts, clothes from theme days, etc.
Of the Relationships
Flonne
LOVE FREAK. Laharl sometimes wonders just why he lives with her, as her stupidity airheadness astounds him time and time again. Honestly he would really just like her to use her common sense more often, then he wouldn't need to stare blankly at her so much.
Etna
Yaaay the lazy vassal. Nothing has really changed here, he still finds her frustrating yet useful (due to Prinny Squad) and it's good to have a real demon to talk to when there are like one hundred kinds of demon that are not the type he's used to.
Prier
Nun turned Overlord what-- Laharl, well, hm. Due to how long she's been here with him, instead of just a vassal, he kind of views Prier more as a sort-of-maybe-but-not-really big sister type figure? If he ever had a problem that he couldn't talk to Etna or Flonne about, he'd go to her first.
Adell
RIVAL!!!!111 Laharl is constantly at ends with Adell, who he lovingly refers to simply as 'muscle-freak'. In a sense, though, he does respect his strength. In that way RIVALS!!!1 do, of course.
Hanako
Muscle freak's sister! He finds her somewhat amusing due to what he brother is like, but that's pretty much it.
Ash
YAY NEW VASSAL. Laharl is very very pleased to have Ash around, because he is one of the few vassal recruits that actually listens to him!! And he's decently leveled up so he can be useful in battle to!! Ash is the kind of vassal Laharl wants a lot of.
... although at times he thinks he might be rubbing off on him, since he seems to get a little snarky compared to when they first met.
Riku
Laharl's bff pretty boy! They've been trapped on the rock together for two years, and over that time they have both hated each other but also become real close. And by close, I mean if Laharl was asked if Riku was his friend, depending on who was asking, he might just honestly say yes. Which says plenty, really.
But haha... Laharl has been through tons of things with Riku, Moe Note, they've been stuck in different outfits together, and even accidentally kissed once-- So yeah. Riku is one of the few people on the island Laharl would help out if he needed it, and he really does genuinely like him. Even though he would never actually say it.
Also, Laharl tops. :|
Cierra
Oh hey it's the ditzy witch. Laharl has known her more or less since she first arrived, and despite the fact that they got off on the wrong foot due to the whole 'omg demon' thing, they eventually started to get along well enough.
And well enough, of course, leads to them being stuck in theme days together. Laharl was stuck together with Cierra for a Moe Note event, a mistletoe one, and likely one or two more that I'm forgetting. He even once danced with her at a party, after a bit of coercion. And he may or may not have a bit of a crush on her, but he likely just considers it the urge to get her to become his vassal.
Suzumiya Haruhi
LAHARL H8 HARUHI. That is not exaggeration at all. In the past she has blackmailed him using various photos from theme days and bad positions he's been in with Riku, so in general, whenever Haruhi shows up, Laharl will quickly recoil and try to avoid her.
And it doesn't help she has no problem shoving her boobs around. :<
Anise Tatlin
That one little girl who has an obsession with money. He doesn't mind her though, since it isn't like she'll actually have any success trying to woo him out of his cash.
Anemone
PINKY. Laharl is 50/50 when it comes to Pinky. Half the time they can hold civil conversation and can agree on how stupid the island is or whatever else. But the other half they are just arguing about everything and she is kicking him in frustration, which doesn't actually hurt, but it's REALLY annoying. Guess which one happens more often. :|
Zelman Clock
ANNOYING VAMPIRE BRAT. Laharl started to find him annoying as soon as he started calling him "pops". 1314 in demon years is NOT OLD OKAY-- Also he has managed to actually fawk him up a bit, but Zelman was a cheapo and ended their battle prematurely. :(
Gilgamesh
Laharl finds Gil v. v. odd. In that he seems smug and cocky at times yet he also is a little kid who goes on about being a hero; which he is willing to believe, but he really needs to see full grown Gil someday to get a proper impression on his "hero" status.
Hinamori Amu
HEY it's that one pink haired girl who he conned into being his vassal in the future on her first day on the island. And by conned I mean he offered her some clothes on her arrival in exchange for future services, since wth new arrival in a towel he will never for that one.
BUT. After that, he's consistently talked to her, and he does like her a bit. But he also gets the feeling she seems to like pointing out when he does or says something that isn't very demon like.
Hiei
A grumpy little demon midget with a third eye. He finds him pretty annoying, if only because of the fact that he has personality somewhat similar to his own, thus CONFLICT ABOUNDS.
Yukina
Ice demon girl who really doesn't act like a demon at all. Laharl still wants to try and get her to realize what a demon should be properly acting like, but he will probably never have any GREAT SUCCESS in that regard.
Satsuki Yumizuka
The vampire girl! Laharl originally just considered her to be another random vampire wandering about since they kept popping up, but theeeen he ended up getting stuck together with her for a Moe Note. And while it was all induced by the island, some of what they actually talked about bothered him a bit so he's considering trying to recruit her as a vassal.
